The Acolytes continue on their journey to Termina. The begin checking off their to-do list which includes meeting Ludwig Von Beezle, the Priest of Bahamut, Virgil, and meeting with the King of Temina. The party also learns of the Exhilarchy of Cogs, a magical-mechanical race of robots that have lost contact with the natural world, Thistle's armordillo is a young Cog, named Cog. Thava learns of a prophecy that may be about her and Jerp. At the Magical University, a student's familiar is loose, and it threatens the city while it is running wild.
